Service, MOT and general repairs on Yaris. Friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything in detail and found cause of an issue Toyota could not even find!

Just before Christmas I viewed a Mercedes SLK280 at Shire Cars. I had researched widely and knew exactly what I wanted - their car ticked all the boxes so I gave it a test drive. It was immediately clear that the car had been well prepared for sale and it drove immaculately, like a new vehicle. They explained in detail the work they had done prior to putting it onto the forecourt, and were willing to spend time explaining details and generally allowing me to give the car a really thorough examination. Their customer-focused attitude was a refreshing change, and everything was explained clearly. Now that I have had the SLK for nearly two months (and driven it on any excuse!) I am in love! I can recommend Shire Cars without hesitation, so much so that I will certainly be taking the car for service and maintenance, MOTs etc, in the future, even though they are a little further away from home. Very nice people to deal with.

Always courteous and thoroughly trustworthy. These guys take the time and trouble to explain what needs to be done to fix your car and never recommend work for the sake of it. We always take our cars to them (one is 2 years ld, one is 15 years) and they are completely honest with us at all times. Recently they fixed our ABS system and replaced the motor for the electric window. They showed me photos of the old parts and the new parts used and explained fully what had been done. We use them for MOTs, servicing and repairs but also if we just want to ask 'what is that weird noise?' or 'why doesn't my key work?'. On many occasions we have left them with advice and no bill. I would never take my car anywhere else!

I worked with Peter and Mark at Cotswold BMW and we have 4 cars in the family all serviced and maintained by them. We bought a 206 for my son and it is a great car they prepared the car very well it was lovely. I cannot tell you how pleased we are and how nice it is to deal with two great guys who generally have nothing but the customers best interest at heart. If you want good service and or a great car go and see them - you will not be disappointed!

I've taken my BMW to this garage for several years - MOT and servicing. I wouldn't go anywhere else now. As a woman who doesn't know much about cars, I trust them completely to keep me safe on the road. Friendly, helpful and they explain what work has been done or what might need doing in plain English. Great service.

We have purchased a very clean Audi A4 diesel from them and were amazed by the service we got. The car was priced well, and they fully serviced and MOT’d the car before we took it. Having visited a few garages before calling in at Shire Cars we were so impressed with the way we were dealt with; very unassuming and made me feel very comfortable talking to them. I think from a ladies point of view it was refreshing not to be talked down to and we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a good experience.
