We have used shire cars for over 15 years, and our experiences have been excellent. We run a renault espace which we love. A couple of years ago the complete heating system went down. No demisting, they removed the dashboard completely, to replace a relay and then re assembled it, on hell of a job. Hours and hours of work, £1600 bargain. Latest episode, a mouse got into engine and made a nest and chewed the electrical wiring to to the auto gear box . They managed to scource a required electrical plug, whi h had been chewed, the only one in the country , repaired the wiring, got thst working
I really appreciated all the help provided by the staff and the care they took to handle my car! I needed a cambelt and water pump change + servicing and they did a great job. They also took their time to explain to me all the process that was required for the cambelt change plus what they did during my service, they were very attentive. I will definitely recommend this car service.
A very open and honest conversation about the issue my car had, first time I’ve taken my car to a garage for a large issue and not felt that they tried to take more money than they needed to from me. Great lads can’t recommend enough
Very helpful in getting my gearbox sorted and a new clutch, helped keep the cost down and kept me updated on the work being done.
Excellent and professional service. I rang this morning in a panic hoping to book in this week to have the brakes done on a vehicle and they fitted me in the same day! So so pleased, can’t thank them enough. 100000% recommend and will be returning in the future!
Absolute amazing service!!
I initially enquired about a reconditioned gearbox due to being told by another garage that my gearbox was finished and I wanted a second quote. After describing my issues with my car and speaking to the guy on the phone for over 10 minutes, I was informed they didn't think it was my gearbox and asked me to bring my car to them to check.
Managed to get there in a couple days, we took my car for a drive together and then I left it there for them to have a look. Shortly after I received a call confirming it was the wheel bearings not the gearbox. A week later I dropped my car off to have the wheel bearings sorted and it was fairly quick and I got my car back early afternoon. Paid £200 for the wheel bearings instead of the £1300 inch was quoted for a new gearbox. And the problem has been sorted.
Super friendly and helpful people, I 100% will be taking my car here for everything I need. Top notch service!!

I’m a regular customer but need extra help when my cars battery was flat!
I couldn’t get it jump started at home so I rang up to explain,
2 lads came to the house got the car started and took it for me back to Shire Cars, replaced the battery and delivered it back to me!
Really grateful for the excellent customer service and the support as always.
